Veterinary authorities in Gorkha reported that flooding in the Budhi Gandaki basin had killed or carried away more than 1,200 farm animals and birds. Livestock sheds and pens were also destroyed. Rescue and veterinary teams have been working to provide feed, treatment and other support in affected settlements.
